A little girl attending the 2013 Motor City Comic Con enthusiastically cosplaying as the legendary Stan Lee is undeniably awesome. But when that same little girl poses for a photo with the real Stan Lee? That, friends, is Super Awesome and pretty much made our day. (They both have such wonderful mustaches!) There’s a photo that deserves place of pride on the fridge.

Aahahahahaha this is the best cosplay in the history of all cosplays ever.
For a stunning series entitled Blackwater, Hawaii-based diver and photographer Joshua Lambus takes beautiful photos of luminous aquatic creatures against a perfectly black background that enables us to better appreciate just how incredibly awesome they are.
Lambus says, “Now being underwater I’m inundated with stories, struggles, triumphs. Seeing our fragile ecosystem inch ever closer to the verge of destruction pushes me to continue my work, not only for artistic value, but for a far greater purpose. I hope to tell a story and ask for help for those without a voice.”
Here’s hoping we’ll see some of these enchanting cephalopods in our dreams tonight.

Altered 3d Futura bold in 650 pt. Each letter is 200 sheets thick, hand-cut, and altered via water and watercolor. After the production of these letters, I used the photographs to digitally translate and vectorize them into what I call Swell font.
